Wow! How? 2012
The Mini Motors team had a great time at Wow! How? 2012 on Saturday. We got to try out some of our hands on demonstrations for the first time in the beautiful surroundings of the Oxford University Museum of Natural History. You can see some photos of our stall here, here and here, and lots more photos of the day here. (See if you can spot the other Summer Science Exhibition team!)

Motor proteins such as kinesins or dyneins carry cargoes along microtubules within the cell. A microtubule is built from αβ tubulin dimers, and its structure allows the two ends, called the + and – ends, to be distinguished: β-tubulin is exposed at the + end and α-tubulin is exposed at the - end.
