Some new samples arrived in the post today! They are e.coli and Vibrio cholera giant microbes - just one of the useful things we learnt about at the communications skills training run by the Science Museum. They are going to help explain what you can see with our microscopes (that’s if I can stop my labmates taking them home first!). Here’s a video of some real e.coli using their mini motors to swim around looking for food.
